Privacy Policy
Drama Creator AI is an iPhone app where you tell a story out loud to an AI director and get back a short video drama. This page explains what we collect to make that work, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it. "We" and "us" mean Drama Creator AI.
The short version
- We keep your email, your stories and the pictures and videos made from them, so you can come back to them.
- Your voice goes straight from your phone to our voice provider while you talk. Our servers don't receive or store your recordings.
- We send your story's text and images to AI providers only to make your pictures, videos and voice conversation.
- No ads, no third-party analytics or tracking, and we don't sell your data.
- Email us and we'll delete your account and your stories.
What we collect
Account. Your email address, which is how you sign in, plus a display name taken from the part of your email before the "@", your language setting, and your balance with a history of money added (by card payment or by us) and spent.
Your stories. What the app saves to build your video: the title, the look you picked, your characters (names and voice descriptions), the scenes and shots, the characters' spoken lines, any edit instructions you give (for example "make it night"), the text of what you told the director (see Your voice), and where you are in making it.
Generated media. The still pictures, video clips and finished video made for your story. To place captions, our own server listens to the generated clips and records when each line is spoken. That audio is the AI characters' lines, not your voice.
Voice sessions. For billing we record when each voice session started and how many seconds it lasted. We don't keep the audio.
Server logs. Like most web services, our hosting keeps basic request logs (such as IP address, time and the address requested) for running and securing the service.
Your voice
When you talk with the AI director, your phone's microphone audio streams directly from the app to xAI's realtime voice service, which hears you, transcribes what you say and answers out loud. The audio doesn't pass through our servers and we don't store it. xAI handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.
The text of what you say to the director (xAI's transcription, not the audio) is saved with your story on our servers, so the director can write your episode from everything you told it, including after you close the app or switch phones. It isn't shown as a transcript, and it's deleted with your story when you ask us to delete your data. The app also keeps a text log of each voice session (without audio) on your phone. Our servers also store the story the director writes down with you: the scenes, characters and lines described above.
The app uses the microphone only while you're talking with the director. You can turn microphone access off any time in iPhone Settings.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the services that run Drama Creator AI, and only what each one needs:
- xAI (realtime voice): your voice audio during a session, and the story so far so the director can help you continue it.
- fal.ai (image and video generation): prompts written from your story (scene descriptions, lines, voice descriptions, the look) and reference images (the look's sample picture and your story's earlier stills). fal runs models from other AI companies to make the pictures and clips.
- Stripe (payments): your email and the amount when you add money. Stripe collects your card details directly; they never reach us.
- Google Cloud (Cloud Run): hosts our server and this website.
- Turso: our database, which stores your account and story text.
- Cloudflare (R2 storage): stores your pictures and videos.
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. We don't use your stories or videos to train AI models, and we don't use them in marketing without asking you first. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect people from harm.
Payments
You add money to your balance in the app before you make videos. Payments are handled byStripe on Stripe's own secure payment page. We never see or store your card number: Stripe collects your card details and processes the payment under its own terms and privacy policy. Stripe tells us that a payment went through, the amount, and the email you used, and we add that amount to your balance.
Photos and sharing
The app asks only for permission to add to your photo library, so it can save your finished video when you tap Save. It can't see or read your existing photos.
Nothing is posted anywhere unless you choose to share it. When you share to TikTok or another app, the video goes to that app through your phone, and that platform's own privacy policy covers what happens next. We don't get access to your TikTok or other social accounts and we don't post for you.
No ads or tracking
Drama Creator AI has no ads, no third-party analytics or tracking tools, and doesn't track you across other apps or websites. This website uses no cookies and no trackers. We don't sell or rent your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, stories and media while your account is open so you can come back to them. Deleting a draft in the app removes it from your list; to erase it from our systems as well, ask us. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account, stories and media within 30 days, except records we need to keep for accounting or legal reasons, such as the history of credits. Copies held by AI providers follow their own retention rules.
Signing out of the app removes your drafts from that phone. The stories saved on our servers stay until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing us from the address on your account. We'll answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and we'll honor them.
Security
Connections between the app, our servers and our providers are encrypted, and access to our systems is limited. No service is perfectly secure, so please don't put sensitive personal information (like health or financial details) into your stories.
Age
Drama Creator AI is for adults 18 and older and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor is using it, tell us and we'll delete the account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If the change is significant, we'll also tell you in the app or by email.
